Anyone else notice Jeff Bezos used to be employed by D E Shaw before founding Amazon??? Is end game actually to slim down for eventual buy out by Amazon thus making D E Shaw money? Marvin truly answers to largest stockholders such as D E Shaw only.

There's a recent financial article that states Amazon realizes they need a brick & mortar chain to capitalize on the home improvement retail business. Lowe's was at the top of the list of companies they are considering to purchase.
It was 24 years ago, which is forever in the cut throat world of high fainance where "what did you do for me today" is not good enough and the departed are forgotten, except when they can make you money.
DE Shaw only has a $1 Billion stake in Lowe's. I think they are a stalking horse for one of the major investors who hold about $12 Billion in Lowe's shares.
