New Positions!

Skinny on new jobs within Lowes for those laid off

Full time PSI. Move to kitchen design. Average pay cut of $5 an hour and loss of commissions.

Full time Coordinator. Move to head cashier or associate. Average pay cut $3.50 an hour.

In all cases you must interview for open positions.

I see this as a real slap in the face.

Loyal long term employees are being treated like doodoo

So what are the pay ranges for the new Department Supervisor positions. I interviewed but SM wouldn’t give a pay range. Still holding to hear his decision on who he selects for the position but also got my resume out to a bunch of places just in case. I know the pay scale shows it it supposed to be a high pay scale from LP to Department Supervisor but not sure what it means. This stuff is like a freaking state secret that no one will share. And don’t tell me to ask my HR, they’re trying to get the same job despite getting quarterly bonuses and a year to look for a job. Nice pay out, a year to search, good severance package if they can’t land store side job, PSIs got $7500 payout plus two weeks pay for every year worked, etc. LP got 28 days to look for another job and a week for every year worked. Not even being paid for the mandatory OT either. Nope, paying us 40 hours. That’s BS. But God Bless, Marvin. Y’all enjoy filling those 270 positions created with the regionals and LPOSM buddies

You all are too much. Everyone hated niblock who ignored us and you couldn’t communicate with no matter what. Now here is Marvin trying to explain things that have to change and here you all go complaining again. Marvin was left a company getting beat by our competition and things need to change. I hate to say it but part of the reason we are getting beat is how many self entitled complainers we have running around. Also come on , I love when people on message boards think they have all the answers on how to run a company but they have never even been a department manager. Lol

Sounds about right. At my store the PSI girl is using her time to line up interviews. I've already given her a couple of leads from companies I have been dealing with for my kitchen renovation.

Marvin's poscast on 1/11/19 was just full of more headline numbers. Are you kidding me Marvin? 70-80% of those impacted will have a job in Lowes? Yeah, for ALOT less income and because they need something to get by for the time being. Oh and the 270 Asset positions you threw out there. Really!?!? THOSE ARE THE SENIOR POSITIONS THAT WERE ALREADY CHOSEN. So how can one apply for them?? Tell me how? Oh, thats right, no one can apply, those positions WERE NEVER POSTED! Not for those nor any class 5 or 6 store (unless there was an opening from moving one to that "senior role"). Then you look at what's left. Supervisor roles, cabinet specialists...nope, deep pay cut there. So that leaves the ASM role...depending on the Market you're in, there might be 1 open ASM position to apply for that even relatively close to where you live.
