I read on another forum that the VP of Professional Services got laid off.

I have to admit, that the Armageddon of 15-18% layoffs some reported here was overblown.
No news about it anywhere and this board hasn't reported in a way that would happen with a huge layoff.
Rolling layoffs are a scheme at Juniper, so I wouldn't be surprised with more layoffs every Tuesday until earnings.
It's horrible to see anyone let go... Under any circumstances.
Please support them by keeping in touch, helping them find jobs (by writing linkedin reviews), contacting them to provide support and encouragement... Not just today, but into the future, at least until they land somewhere.
Thank you all.
ATAC security (IDP, secreenOS, sky ATP) and one of the Solutions team that handle Northstar, wandl, contrail sky Enterprise etc... Merged and about 15% of the team was let go. All American citizens at that. ATAC SRX Survived only because the heads they needed to lay off agreed to be repositioned within TAC. Switching TAC was not affected. AFAIK neither was MX/Routing teams.
Management of Americas POC lab and Demo pool was laid as well as some employees under them leaving only 2 left for the Americas demo pool. Not sure about POC lab head count. Perhaps a merge of the two groups will happen. This is how it was about 11 years back. Some of what used to be called CSIM was also affected.
Sad day for all.
@X8LTIqU-2tek is this the lab run by KA ?
It definitely didn't seem like a broad company wide layoff. Seeems targeted at specific groups. There will always be a few people affected in groups that are not targeted because managers use layoffs to push out people they don't like. It's much easier than doing the long PIP thing to push someone out. In Sunnyvale it doesn't seem that engineering was touched. Although there were reports of impact to the ASIC group in Westford the ASIC team in Sunnyvale doesn't seem to be impacted at all. In fact I don't think anyone in Sunnyvale engineering (HW and SW) even knew there was a layoff in progress. It was pretty much business as usual. My guess is that this will be another stealth layoff. There are no all hands meetings scheduled to address this. My guess is that there will be some mass email sent out later this week saying how it was a very difficult but necessary action, all affected are well taken care of, and JNPR has a bright future ahead.
The entire OpenLab globally. Not Good since we advertise this heavily.
This time around it was more of hype , find the dude who was claiming 15% reduction.
Very insignificant cuts this time , don’t know the numbers but I think it will be no more than 1-2%
me, from GTM....

Confirmed layoffs happening starting today with my director here in Herndon. Some senior SEs and consulting engineers affected.
The 70% of IT Dept that will get an offer letter
from IBM for March will be valid for 1 year.
Guess what happens 1 week later?....
They get invited not to come to work anymore?

Yes. Sunnyvale.
ASIC team in Sunnyvale?
It's daylight in other parts of the world.
Per another forum:
1.) EMEA theatre Sales got hit.
2.) Entire ASIC team impacted.
Have the layoffs started in the he east coast?
I hope I get laid off. I am leaving in 2 weeks anyway.
What's the other forum? Yes this is true, btw. Layoffs start tomorrow (Jan 16)....
If this is true then there shouldn't be a surprise that Leadership is taking this action as that group has been bleeding red for the looongest time. The group is also really spread out and meandering in no specific direction to provide results.
