Increased security is usually a sure signal that layoffs will take place sometime during the day. Has anybody noticed more security at their locations so far? We're still good on that, but that doesn't mean things will not change sometime later in the day.
This anticipation is the worst for me, honestly.
When I enter the GM Tech Center early in the AM off of Chicago Rd it is still common to see the security guard in his little shack fast asleep! LOL
Haven't seen any increases at the Austin locations yet

At the GIC, we seem to have lost the ability to swipe back in after 5pm. You have to go through the front entrance and pass security. Previously, they would just lock all of the other doors after 7pm. Yesterday, I noticed no one's badge let them swipe back into any of the other entrances after 5:30pm or so even though the doors were not locked and badges still allowed people to swipe out.
