I just lost my job yesterday with this company after being told it was safe. Yes they are laying off thousands of employees in Property and Casualty, Agents and IT. Poor leadership and poor financial decisions are causing thousands of hard working employees to be laid off without warning. It appears as though the P&C side is going to be sold to a competitor soon and the layoffs are for profitability. Rasmussen did the same thing at Allied before Nationwide bought them. Don't worry though, the top level still has it's private jets and Peyton, Brad and Dale Jr. are going to get paid their millions because we can't let the millionaires lose 1 penny of their salaries!

Just found out last week they are going to reduce our department by 40% after previously stating we were out of scope. Morale and engagement are at an all time low. And every day when I come into work, I look at the bold print on the walls that say Nationwide's success is because of its people. Yet this is how they reward them.
So far, about 700+ of the anticipated layoffs have happened...
It’s true. Bloody Tuesday just occurred. I was affected with many others. Why are we so quick to think it’s not happening? Families are being affected. Not an easy time for many.
I've heard the rumors about Liberty Mutual as well. I'm a current employee and lost several good friends and hard working people in the last week to downsizing☹
this is not fake news! there's a new version of the claim system coming in February.....I wonder what company has this claim system?????? rumor has it Liberty Mutual is in the horizon
This is not fake news. People are finding out slowly that their job is eliminated. 2018 is not the end of job cuts. This year Nationwide will cut another one thousand more jobs. 60 day letters as they’re called are being handed out left and right. How do I know? Three of my friends got their notices yesterday. I used to work there but went to a different company. Definitely NOT FAKE news!!
Fake news. "thousands" are getting laid off and you are the only one talking about it online. Riiiiight.
