Thread regarding Dream Center Education Holdings, LLC (DCEH) layoffs

Argosy Online

We were told yesterday to expect an update with meetings and information because higher management was flying in from PA. There were meetings alright, we just weren’t a part of any of them. They are expecting us to operate like business as usual. We received no notification about Brent Richardson resigning. Maybe we will walk into another email update tomorrow. Only time will tell. Some people seem to believe Argosy will be just fine. Don’t see how that is even a possibility.

AiP and AiO have received no official word on anything other than the email from Brown and the email from Barton on 01/14/2019.

Barton’s email, 3. The ownership of the Art Institutes not being taught out were transferred to an independent non profit foundation not affiliated with DCEH.

Brown’s email, I am pleased and excited to announce that the Art Inihas become part of a new non profit foundation the Education Principle Foundation (EPF) and will no longer be affiliated with Dream Center Education Holdings (DCEH) or Dream Center Foundation (DCF).

There is no note regarding AiP AiO or any other Ai remaining with DCEH.

Is it true that West Coast Ai schools remain with Argosy and DCEH?

We were told Matt was going to AZ to find out what’s next because corporate has been keeping him in the dark for months. The senior management at South claim they had no clue it was sold. As far as not greeting anyone, that’s truly not like him. He’s the guy that will say hello to everyone that crosses his path.

Can’t sustain the way it is. Business as usual is a couple of apps a day, not enough to keep the doors open. They’ve done nothing but cut and the next thing to cut is people.

AUO Chandler, Business as usual. Matt flew in today, didn’t acknowledge any of us. “No one knows anything”, is what we were told today on repeat. Everyone is edgy with the uncertainty. Scary our senior leaders aren’t communicating at all.

Start the job search now. I’m not being sarcastic. Redo your resume. Don’t use the garbage titles they have given us. Just put that you were a recruiter or senior recruiter. Job search engines don’t know what an “enrollment counselor” or ADA or Success Advisor is.

Look up recruiter resume examples and then start applying. There’s a lot of demand in the Pittsburgh market but get started now.

Bayer our in Robinson just announced here closing and 500 people will lose their jobs. Start searching now before the market becomes overly saturated.

PA AUO employee here. Thanks for the update and identifying what department and location your commenting about. Too much confusion with South/AI commenters as well. Shame for us all. We know nothing here as well. Business as usual remarks from managers this morning so that’s what we’ll do.

Keep us posted.
