Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Bye bye, Martin

Former CEO is now going to be former everything at Baker Hughes. Good riddance, I say. I don't think there's one person here who's actually going to miss him.

Yes the Executive Leadership team made out very well and so did the many VP's and Directors they appointed who in turn helped Martin and his team achieve the strategic agenda. Some of the ex workers have gone on to successful jobs with competitors and with operators. So is life and so is the oilfield service business. Time to move on.

Yep ran into a the ground and used it get personally rich...many others worked just as hard and saw cuts in pay, benefits and jobs....all while the upper exec's paid themselves generously.

A lot of people will miss Martin. Martin provided opportunity for Western Atlas employees. The house that Martin, Richard, Paul and Chad built was based on a vision. They had to make hard decisions on promoting their people over existing qualified workers. The legacy that they built is what GE purchased. Hopefully the people that Martin promoted will be able to turn the company around.
