Walking on eggshells is exactly how I feel daily. The constant changes to policy and how calls are scored is becoming overwhelming. I am actively looking.

Sadly i will probably be looking. The reality is if I can't work a little extra off the clock, I'm not going to make PCS #s. It just takes too long to call, support call & chart to do it. Very sad. :(

I worked with Humana for 7 years and it was a good job at first, but it quickly went downhill. I am the type of employee who gives 200% and doesn’t cheat on the clock. I’ve been a team lead, preceptor, computer point, given presentations, led projects - all from the heart because I believe in doing the best job that I can. I always got good audits, raises and enjoyed the benefits of working with Humana. But I decided to leave last year because I just could no longer stand by and blindly accept the unreasonable expectations and I got tired of weekly changes in policy etc. I no longer took any pleasure or satisfaction from the job, everyone was walking on eggshells waiting for the next lay-off or shoe to drop. That’s just no way to live and work. In 2 weeks I had another WAH job - not with an insurance company - and a $15,000 raise. I am now making over $80,000! I am given respect and autonomy, and am encouraged to use my nursing judgement. Best of all, no micromanaging. I get great job satisfaction once again. I have a family to support, and I’m a single mother, but I took that leap of faith and have been so glad I did. I didn’t realize until I left Humana how much stress I was working under. What a positive change for me that decision was for me. Bless you all who are staying with Humana, I know you need it.

LTIH probably will go down the tubes unless Shari D. wises up and puts leaders in place that do more than bull s**t their way through the day. Leaders should be able to do the job of the people they are leading- ask them ADs or managers to create a care plan 😂 create a visit note😂. Hope to be in the next rif, I’ve earned every penny I get from it!

I agree with the below poster, even though it’s work at home, it’s a solid 8 hours of work, and really not much in between time

@XC77fo4-3cgv My inbox is full of job offers. Sign on bonus excellent rate of pay. Just one problem for the Humana nurse. You are expected to work. That means no laundry, dog walks, picking up kids, house work.... If you want a job there is one... By the way. It's UNSCRUPULOUS.

Hey to the “ feel free to leave “ poster.... you seriously tell others who wish for layoff that they have no dignity, self respect or MORALS??? Really??? Like HUMANA does???

They are scrupulous, insincere with their telling staff “open transparency “ then HIT with layiffs, cut throat, lack integrity and their mission statement is a joke.

I was there 10 years, rarely took vacation or sick time. Was leader on HAH team for training/ mentoring/preceptor, was the computer SME for team plus did team building for morale which sank like a rock.

I got the boot along with 5 on my team just after my father died, real compassion right but hey we were given 60 days and told could not tell our members. Wow, had great relationship with several for years and just supposed to disappear. After 30 days of the 60 they said bye bye but had to pay they full 60 days, then paid out our PTO then we got severance if 2weeks pay for each year there. Well needless to say grand total of about 6 months paid to look for other job.

What a blessing. New job I like with no micromanage up my but plus 4 thousand more paid salary plus bonuses which HUMANA does not do consistently.

So goodbye to HUMANA hell

There is life after HUMANA

Considering applying for SNP. Can I get some honest feedback on what it is like to work in this department?

Below poster, I agree. I’ve been with Humana for 5 years, I like my job, I like the benefits, I hope I continue. I know I’m a minority with this opinion, I’ll be called a corporate troll, etc..., but if I get RIF’d, I’d be sad because I like my job, im not hoping to be laid off

I love my job although I'd rather be retired. It's the best I have had. I work clinical and have worked there for 7 years. There are many jobs out there. If you don't like what you are doing now then move on. I won't spend my precious life not being happy with my job and you folks unhappy should find a job you at least enjoy most of it.

I left Humana after 3 years for reasons stated above. Working in a large hospital now and have observed how bad a reputation that really does have. Confirmed what I felt all along.

XC77fo4-1hdy: this is a lay off site. Why not keep mean spirited comments to yourself?

You are correct. My circle is wide at Humana. I do not know of any that are excited or enthusiastic about their job or future. Morale is at an all time low. Humana has breached its trust with employees and the public it serves. The attitude is one of endurance and survival. Employees have issues beyond Humana. Perhaps an ailing spouse or families that they must support. It is difficult for the primary or sole supporter of a family to walk away. They endure hoping things will change for the better but they never do. The demands get greater. They try to cover it with jargon such as the message that was presented at town hall today, but unless you actually live from the top down, the message that you share, it becomes like another dagger.
