Remember the first survey? "Confidential, being administered by a 3rd party, we will only know results in work groups larger than 10 and 1 mgr removed" or some bs.

30% ops fills it out, 60% hq. A month later, lance mounts his upway horse and proclaims "the results are too important to not act on, you will sit down and discuss with your woork group and mgr".

Yeaaaaaah........

NOT CONFIDENTIAL. Probably one of the most egregious breaches of trust in modern times.

Don’t fill out the engagement survey. It is not confidential due to the process is being flawed. The executives are beyond our help now. You owe them nothing but the work you were hired to do in return for your compensation.

Many don't fill it out because they don't feel safe doing so. if a certain number fill it out they show it to their boss including the comments. The boss can then figure out who wrote based upon the comment and writing style. I know my comments were held against me. A co-worker was brought into his boss' office and asked why they wrote what they did. Being honest only comes back to haunt you. Plus, they don't really want to hear what we think and wont' make any changes. But, I agree, if they want to really know they should read this website and take it seriously. There are so many common themes across geographic and work areas.

Larger issue is getting employees to complete the survey. our department locally had a very low response rate. We are given an opportunity to gripe and less than half do. maybe they feel different about the status of the work environment.
