I got laid of in August 2018. I gave the team my email and phone numbers in case they had any questions, no one has contacted me in 6 months.
I guess I was obsolete after all 😟

Part of the November 2018 class. No one from my old team has contacted me. I am not sad, and just hope they are not suffering survivor's guilt, which I did during previous layoff rounds. Best of luck to them all.
Same thing here. Class of Nov
2015 after 21 years. Got a few phone calls at home asking me how to do something that they didn't know how to do. Told them to go ask the director who laid me off since apparently I "lacked the skill set for the job". Kept in touch via fb and text with one person on occasion until my last text went unanswered. Life goes on.
They are not supposed to call you anyway. Cheer!
After I had left one of my previous companies, a third party vendor we worked contacted me to see if he could ask me questions. He probably realized it was inappropriate and never mentioned it or contacted me again. No one will contact you for work questions.
It might be due to legal as posted above. But most likely the people left are too stupid to understand there's a problem in the first place.
There was an issue that will cause catastrophic network failure that I resolved, 6 years since I was out of engineering, I still got pinged if this patch is required.
They cant ask you any questions. You will never hear from them. To many legal problems.
Class of June 2018 here as well. Not feeling ignored like the ones who posted before. You have to move on. Life is like that. I had someone contact me once via email and I replied back but neither I nor them took the initiative after that. I think they don’t want to rub salt on wounds but I am happy I got the money. No complaints or grudges.
I was in the PMIC VI group in San Diego.
Thats the reality and happens all over. Nothing specific to QC.
Enjoy you are in good hands now!
Which department did you work in? Was it in SD?
They can’t ask you to do work as it opens them up to lawsuits.
I was cut in May. Up until moving north, I still had lunch with ex-colleagues. The personal relationships are more important.
Like most, they probably no longer care and are just going through the motions.
you are a reminder of what could happen to them. asking you would be wrong and awkward. you are not on payroll. that’s business. don’t take it personal.
No one is irreplaceable
Even if people have questions it is problematic to discuss internal questions with outsiders, which someone becomes after they leave. You should not take it personally.
