Info on ASM changes

Just got the scoop that they rolled out in my area. ASM's will the be paid their salary wage based on 55hrs of actual work (with OT figured in). This means a schedule of 60hrs minus breaks & lunches. Also offered was a 47.5 HR wk but pay per hr would still be based on 55hr week. Here's to the real kick in the a--....district hr said that ASM's would be scheduled 55 hrs but with lunches it would be 50hrs.... So to make up the other 5hrs they could stay late or work a day off as business needs dictate.

Important info posted by @XHrwmtY-1hxf as a reply. Bumping so more people can see it.

This is nothing new in CA Asm's have been paid hourly for years because of overtime lawsuits. You just now get the choice to take a voluntary reduction in pay to work 45 hours vs the 50 that's been standard. If you want to stay at 50 hours you get to.

Cuts are coming and district staff are slowly disappearing into stores..

In my store the asms work 55-60 hours per week because we are the staff. No one ever complained because we knew that’s what we needed to do as salaried managers. Now that is all about to change. Bad move on corporates part. I hope they do right by the loyal employees who will always be there to help the store operate the way it should.

Were u listening at the door? That's nearly what the regional human resources guy told me. In our area there is no staff so I don't know where people get off saying asms leave early. If it wasn't for asms there's be nobody working we're chronically short staffed always.

It's just a matter of time for ASM's, use them as they use us.

The phase “work OT as needed based on business” there will not be any OT needed since this was done to cut salaries. You will now have to click in and out so Corp can track your attendance, no more going and coming late or leaving early. The SM and Ops have been given instructions to monitor closely. Ops should be watched for sure especially certain ones! The rough ride is here! Remember they did the same thing to dept. mgrs and everyone knows how that ended, we are heading down the same road, don’t trust BBB. I’ll use them just as they use me until I’m done!
