Why ? So they can lie to me like they lied to everybody before last February?

My cafe manager was saying that yesterday.
Receiving hasn’t been the same since last February! Always a mess. Unopened boxes. Our Rec Mgr never left until everything was opened and ready to shelve. Not anyone and no one cares.
I really believe they would have been better off if the let go one of the ASM go instead of their receivers. Most, if not all has one time or other had the experience to open and close the stores. The best choice would have been to let the one go that sat on their but every single shift doing that day force (another failure ) schedule . Yeah the ship is almost under water.
They knew well in advance. Heard tell of some SM moving people around to different positions so they’d be spared. Our short sighted coward of a Mgr just let the good ones go. Now we’re stuck with slow, unmotivated, low productive employees. Nothing’s getting done in a timely manner. Receiving backed up. Books customers want sitting in unopened boxes. Magazines are a joke !
Okay, so these people are filling you will a bunch of bulls**t. They knew well over a year before they did the big lay off last February . I guess they were trying to work out the logistics of how they were going to do it. This may sound a little petty but when I hit my 15 year mark I wanted my 15 year pin. Every time I asked about it I was given some excuse. First I must be mistaken, I was only there for 14 years. No, I was there for 15. When I asked our district manager , I was told sometimes it takes a while. My 16th year rolled around and I asked about my 15 year pin. I was told it was on the way and BOOM.....February hit and I was laid off. And my severance was for 16 years. Yeah, you are being lied to.
Someone said today that there would be no layoffs this year and we're safe for one more year.
Based on last year’s FIRINGS ( lay off, my butt) they LIE ! My SM sure did.
