I always think this time is funny/interesting because so many people mouth off about getting their bonus and getting out. But my take on this is CVE doesn’t really see much of an exodus after bonuses are given out as there still isn’t much employment choice out there. So even if CVE is rated one of the top 10 worst places to work are you stuck here or not? I say yes most of CVE employees who would leave if they could leave are still stuck here due to the labour market.

That’s true. The higher ups get the same as everyone else. Alex confirmed that
@XIxlumA-1spn you are misinformed on the 2-3 times salary. Someone was pulling your chain when they posted that on here trying to cause a wave (clearly the were not in the know and have no idea what they are talking about) -- read the information provided regarding the incentive.
I don’t think the higher ups understand how many people are out actively looking. The ones I know are all good workers but they’re looking for an out. Sadly let’s be realistic, there’s not much out there. Yet.
I’m on the job sites every day looking. I still do my job and do it well but if I can get out of here I will. I’ve never seen a company so focused on rewarding the executives and sh1tting on employees. Even this 20-20 deal, they get 2-3 times their salary ? Now that’s greed. 66
That 20 for 20 wouldn’t change my mind for leaving. I agree kudos to Alex for thinking outside the box but it’s like a lottery if it ever happens or not. If the right job came up it’s too big of a risk to stay for but its a neat idea.
I know most people on our team are passing around potential jobs/postings to each other all the time. There’s some jobs out there but it won’t be a tidal wave.
Unsure if the “20 for 20” retention offering will be enough to keep the best workers. Things may turn around sooner than we think... I think the best are keeping a keen eye open for opportunity and will jump if/when offered a compatible offer with certainty. Kudos to the board/Alex for thinking outside the box and offering this “low-risk to the corporation” incentive program though.
Reluctantly, I have been a reference for three people so far in finance .. don’t be so sure it’s all talk..
Unfortunately I think we are going to see a lot of turn over in some groups... which will be difficult to replace.
I hope it’s all talk, but I am worried...
In my opinion, best thing would be to bring back the Friday offs during the summer to try to stop the brain drain ... too much change, too soon..
The golden handcuff.
I don’t think anyone has to be insulting or mean, just an interesting point of view to discuss.
