Boycott BYOD!

I posted this in another post:

BYOD? Seriously? F THAT big time!!!!

This is a multi billion company. They can well afford to provide all associates with a TC70 to do their jobs.

...and on top of that, they don't even give any incentives for you to use your own device. How about a free protective case/screen protector or help to pay for part of your phone bill?

I mean really, an iPhone/Samsung smartphone cost what...upwards of $1000 these days? And they want me to risk damaging MY phone to to a job that they should be providing tools/equipment so I can complete my task? WTF?!?!!

They spin it like they're doing us a favor by letting us use their app as a tool to do our jobs. Don't fall for it.

If all of us don't use the BOYD app then maybe, but don't hold your breath, it will force them to supply us with TC70's we need to perform our jobs.

They do offer an incentive. Up to 80% off your data plan for signing up for BYOD. And id--ts saying "I don't want to risk my phone" are just looking for reasons to not embrace tech. How many times are they on there phone a day. At the park, walking down the street, texting while driving, all using their phone a 1000 times a day and they think pointing their phone a a product to scan it is a risk? The idiocy is just shocking!

I find it absolutely BRILLIANT that the company had devised a way to have associates provide their own tools!

This is the best system they have rolled out in a decade. Do not boycott under any circumstance!

They dont care. You dont get yourself in line and on "the program" they are ready to axe the next group. This is not a people business anymore.

There is a BYOD survey on the WIRE. I can't remember if it was on the front page of the WIRE or under Me.
