Derby is still open due to the incompetence of NOV... The guy they put in place to shut the place down basically dropped a round one when he sent an e-mail to the landlord and not a letter of notification. So the plans to close the facility were changed, they decided until the lease expires to run Derby with the sales and engineering for the Chemineer, Kenics and Greerco products and just move the manufacturing facility to Montrose. We all know how well that went.

What a croc of c-ap with your incorrect data rap NEWS FLASH Derby is still open and paying the lease on the building, yes on an empty production facility with a couple of sales type people to call staff, on that assumption if it was truly about roof space then why wasn’t it closed outright, keep talking only be a big enough person to tell it how it is not how NOV want it to be seen. tell that all those people with skills and experience that were lost needlessly due to roof space reduction that never was, tell that to your customers who can’t get a reliable mixer delivered on time, keep churning out this rubbish you might convince someone

The only reason Chemineer was moved was due to a senior NOV director being told to reduce "Roof area". Derby site was leased so easy to get rid of. Also, business was high profit and could fit in the new Manchester site. Since then, no profits. Nobody's fault in UK. It was pushed about as a fill in. We are all "British workers" who try to do a good job and be proud of our skill levels. Slagging each other off gets nowhere and is based in inaccurate data.

Chemineer won’t be the Future by all accounts because it’s too complicated for the clowns in Manchester and jock land to get their thick heads around. It’s a really great product being handled by grossly incompetent mo--ns, this still makes my blood boil as an ex NOV Derby machinist for many years and hearing that it’s still being sorted out, NOV really need to sort this mess out, but as things stand I will be dead and buried before that ever happens and my grandchildren will be drawing a pension
