Why is no one in the organization talking about current policial movements that aim to eliminate UNH alltogether. Am I the only one concerned we may all ultimately be laid off?

That’s my understanding as well. It’s not just Medicare under debate but single payer, meaning the government would run all healthcare. That’s why there are provisions in the bill to assist displaced workers who currently work in the insurance industry.
I don’t know the likelihood of it being passed, but it warrants watching.
Wouldn't M&R be eliminated in the below scenario? No more contracts to administer......it would all be US govt workers!
have you heard of the business line M&R? Medicare and retirement? Our business would grow because we would win more contracts to adminster the insurance.
Gaining traction? By who? Every demonrat presidential candidate? Not a single one of them has a clue how to pay for it other than 'uh, we'll just tax people more, that uh, make more money than the millions we make' It's a unicorn. It's fantasy. The reason why no one higher up in UHG is not paying any attention because they know it's full of sh--, and so should you.
It's ok, because we'll all get a living wage whether we want to work or not comrade. UHG better take notice. We some day won't need them for employment.
What is being proposed is fundamentally single payer. UHG would not be involved in Medicare except to offer supplemental insurance for items not covered by the government program. This would absolutely mean UHG for all intents and purposes as we know it will cease to exist. That said this is still far off, if it will ever happen. But the fact that our stock took a nose dive when the bull was introduced and it appears to be gaining traction leaves me to believe we should all be paying attention to this.
You're kidding right? Medicare for all is a joke the socialists dream of. Socialists don't have healthcare, they have genocide and eugenics. Anyone that actually thinks medicare for all is actually going to happen is either a socialist (or a lib trying to appeal for whatever reason to socialists), a recent college grad with a degree in basket weaving and can't get a real job, or a mo--n. Medicare for all is not going to happen any sooner than planes and cow farts are going to cease to exist and we are all relegated back to the 19th century on trains. The political climate of An Occasional Cortex (one nut in the Asylum who can't make her way out of an economic paper bag) isn't built to last. The Hippies lost Lebowski. The only thing medicare for all would start is a civil war. People don't like their money being taken, or redistributed, or whatever b---s--- term they decide to use.
This wouldn’t eliminate private insurance and UHC has a thriving Medicare Advantage program. Medicare for All would probably mean more customers.
We’d get government jobs and no more OGS
