Um so like why does GM keep shooting themselves in the foot ? Do they just want to go out of business or what? This is just Rediculous. If I was a top University I wouldn't send my students or recommend them to a company that sells people out , no matter where you come from on this Earth. My hats off to CMU for taking a stand.

Why would anyone from a top school like CMU want to come GM?

Work visa sponsorship. Not everyone has choices.

Why would they work for an automotive company when you can work for a self driving car company that sells software to automotive companies? I'm pretty sure that assuming the average CMU

wants to get into automotive industry, that student will be applying to Tesla and/or a self driving car startup in silicon valley.

If you went to a top school AND want to work in the auto business there are only so many choices and GM is one of them. Ford, FCA, Toyota, etc all have their problems too. But I think GM is at a low point with all her pretending to be a socially woke silicon valley startup.
