State Street is laying off more than BNY
That we laid off experienced resources to save money, and increased off-shore staff that take so much longer and still cannot get the work done (and we still need to retain enough staff to mentor them).
When BNY wants to become lean and compete with State Street, but lays off the very workforce that let them compete in the first place.
When the layoffs were to make us more efficient, but caused such distraction that we are less productive.
When the layoffs were to improve our mediocrity, but have reduced our collective knowledge base and energy to work.
