Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Why not come together?

Everyone's been put through hell whether you got laid off or not. You guys want stuff like this to keep happening? Theres no law that says white collar cant unionize that I'm aware of? Theres just always been the threat of being terminated if you try. Well if enough people buy in, at some point they can't terminate everyone, especially in a time when they are preparing to transition the company into something new. I'm a white collar worker. I have never been part of a union, but in my opinion they did have a place at one time, for groups of people who felt overworked, oppressed and without job security. Sound familiar? I dont even work at GM, but I do work in this industry as a white collar worker and you guys are at point where you could tip that scale. Gm cant built cars without you. Not yet anyway.
