99% sure I'm part of that RIF. Let's hope for a good layoff package.
I had some fun at Oracle, so, not not even mad.
I've been out here for a couple of years. In my experience most of the specifically dated predictions are true, but are usually for a specific group. So if the layoff didn't hit your group, then you think the dates are wrong.
In any case, rumors are rumors. You should treat this site as hallway gossip, sometimes it's right and sometimes it's not. Let it be and just know that not all gossip is true.
The whole point of the layoff.com is to discuss lay-off news and rumors.
Many of the dates shared have indeed been true.
Unfortunately for those affected there will be a significant number of people impacted this month in a large layoff event.
It won’t be the last event as oracle is a big company and constantly making business adjustments but the event this month is substantial.
Jan 17 prediction came true, and this post is eerily similar to that.

specific dates on this site that I've seen so far have been wrong. I don't think I've seen a correct on so far. yes, O has been laying off consistently since 20xx or whenever - companies layoff. Its normal. They've also been hiring consistently since 20xx so explain that.
I'd like to explore the pathology behind people who come on here and post specific date when they have no actual clue. What's the motivation? I believe there is a diagnosis that could be applied. There are also those who create elaborate stories on this site and other sites of hearing meetings through walls and hearing specific names and counts and dates and then, poof, nothing appears. What's the motivation? Is it competitive fear mongering? Who knows.
so, like many other dates, March 21st will likely come and go with a few layoffs between then and now that would be normal. or maybe we really do have decimation of OCI and OMCS and everyone else in all the rumors.

And Mr. Fake News - doubtful. They have been laying off pretty constantly since 6/2016.
From what i hear there is truth to this - not sure about the day but there will be layoffs in March
