If you haven’t figured out by now that you are only a number with Weatherford you must have been sleeping. No chance of any advancement for a loyal hard working employee with many years under their belt. Instead they will promote an individual OR hire from the outside based on what their name is and who likes them. Very unethical and political company. Hopefully everyone who is still employed by these clowns find great jobs elsewhere!!!

Personally decided to take the payoff some two years ago after having to close a profitable US plant and move everything to China to prop up the debt burden at the end of the quarter. Took months to get my expenses paid (we weren’t “allowed” a P Card). At the same time the folks with friends flying business class for non sensical meetings and fine dining at the Grovernor House Dubai. Funnily the head honcho had a very nice apartments in the same hotel whilst we going they contant RIFs and not paying suppliers or salaries. We were losing contracts, orders & haemorrhaging great knowledgeable employees. And the saga continues but like everything everybody knows what happens at the end in The Titanic movie. Very few survived...........
Very true, if you hope to make any sort of career for yourself then you will at a certain point have to leave Weatherford. Some changes are in the pipeline so it seems regarding career plans and future goals, but first the company will have to change the toxic environment that pervades the whole set up and start making moves to weed out some of the cancerous management that fail to embrace the new initiatives. These changes can’t be made overnight but obviously they have been recognized and identified as a huge problem, at least that’s a step in the right direction. Although I’m not holding my breath to see any changes myself and will only believe it when i see it. Deeds not words, counts for me from now on.
