Just heard that due to some stores planned on being closed some store managers will be either let go or relocated. The DM will determine which are the top performing store managers in their districts. Even if your store is not closing you can be replaced with a store manager from a closing store due to seniority and performance. They will also be looking at your numbers deeply and your teams performance. At this point I guess also if you are a a** kisser your safe. I would take this with a grain of salt since information is not always accurate.

I dont see why even if your a kiss a-- you would take any position honestly. Sears is on life support and even if you relocate its going to cost moving. I would take the severance unemployment and look else where.
this scorched earth policy is designed to force people to quit rather than lay-off individuals and be on the hook for un-employment.. The DM's and others who are implementing the process will be forced to leave as well, once their usefulness has been exhausted.
