it is all by design. getting rid of your most knowledgeable Employees will make a better case to move operations to China. The plan is to move to China and leave America behind. Why else would end production of the LaCrosse in the US, but reveal their plan to release the next generation in China?
You mean to tell me GM could not even run a single shift of LaCrosse and Impala's, it is better to give that market away?
Forced rankings will provide a rotating door of talent with little opportunity of growth. It is just a matter of time before your number is called.
Nor a full grasp on their assets, of which they have just divested with this layoff.
I would expect this to be a one every 3 month thing, like AIG now. Really not sure if GM has a grasp on the full extent of their liabilities (think GE)
