I think every quarter it the same story. People keep saying that with the earnings report we will have a more clear picture of what the company is planning, but that never happens. Layoffs are always a possibility at Oracle, but will the time come when we will have a more clear picture of how much they want to cut?

Look at what they did with Oracle data cloud... they’ll bled them slowly letting over 100 people go...but not a layoff in one swoop ...they spread it out like a slow bleed. It wasn’t noticed. But ODC is gutted.
Fawning profile. He’s still an a--hole.
"LE has 4 k#ds to fund"
Just how much $$$ do they need? One could live like a king with just 1% of LE's net worth.
Management will do what they think it takes to keep stock from tanking. After all if this link is to be believed read to end, LE has 4 k#ds to fund

I think that the cuts, when they happen, will be on a BU basis, like it was with Sparc/Solaris two years ago. As to when, who knows? Unless earnings show that a BU has suddenly entered a severe decline, I doubt earnings will provide much of a clue.
All I think I know for certain is that unless there is good cloud revenue growth that the stock will tank like it usually does after earnings are announced.
