Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Period 2 hours

Was just told this morning that there will be a huge reduction in hours for SWS HBC departments. Most tasks like freight, recovery etc will be now the responsibility of the store. So instead of 150 hours I’ll have to run on 44.

I have no idea how this is even a viable option but it’s very disappointing news for sure.

There are a few employees in charge of Harmon that are put there because, wait for it!

They work cheap, friends with the SM and OPs and will say or do anything!

How about getting to work on time!

I can’t speak globally, but in my store the HBC staff will be distributed between softside and hardside.

Some of my best employees work in that department and I will continue to make sure that the best associates in my store get taken care of.

I'm wondering the same. I already got asked what else I would like to do in the store. So much for running HBC.
