It was announced in January there would be a reduction including 4.400 positions via early retirement and other incentive programs. At the same time, it was also announced the entire global workforce total would exceed 100k by end of 2019.
Therefore, hiring of new employees is a must to make that number.
I would assume the majority will be young and poorly-paid. Save, save, save! One more example of a company cutting off its own nose to spite itself.
