The company agreed to pay me an hourly wage, benefits and vacation in return I agreed to give them 40 hrs per week of my life of good honest work. The minimum for the minimum. Why would you go "above and beyond" that? This company could careless whether you live or die. I've been with them for 23 years and this my friends is the newest flavor of the month. Every 5 years or so this company has to pretend to shareholders that they are doing something different. Within the next decade we will have "ROBOTIC RAILROADING" and that'll be that!!! Good luck....

UP GO FK YOURSELF.

I have seen many people over the years98, myself included, who showed up here with great work ethic willing to go above and beyond to do the best job possible. I have also seen zero response in return from UP. It doesn't matter if you give your heart and soul for the job, you will be paid the same as the old fart who sits in the cab all day. Too bad a lot of people lose that drive and zeal for their personal output, but that is what happens. It happened to me too. Now I give them what they pay me to give them. Nothing else. No pride, no nothing. It is a J-O-B.
