Company meeting to discuss layoffs

Has anyone received an invite to a meeting to address the recent layoff ? Usually the VP of the affected groups will do an all hands to address the elephant in the room and take questions.

Many individuals who should have been cut, but made it through this round of layoffs, especially those in middle and upper management, know they are lucky to have survived. Now lthey have to face the music, the daily grind at Juniper, with elevated levels of emotions filled with guilt, stress, anxiety, and anger which will most definitely lead to other behavioral consequences - bad management, rude and arrogant interactions, and poor decision making in their personal and professional life, just to name a few.

Sadly, it's not just their direct reports or immediate team members who will have to endure these resulting consequences and bad behaviors, the effects of this will be felt company wide in due course and even shareholders will feel the pain over time.

This is why it is so important to trim all the (toxic) fat and layoff all deserving individuals, without bias and favoratism - once. Get it done, once and for all.

In summary, with this last round of layoffs, we missed yet another golden opportunity to correct the course and right this sinking ship, that's truly heading in the wrong direction. The effects will be felt all around for years to come.

I’ve spoke about it with my people. My boss has spoken about it to me. And I know that his boss has had a meeting with his directs about it. So no stealth that I’ve seen. Any questions just ask your boss. There’s never any golden list published with everyone who got canned. If your super interested just keep asking people and you’ll slowly accumulate names. I’m slightly curious myself but not dying to learn all the names. Head down chin up and back to work. Or you’ll be next. Don’t let the distractions get in the way of kicking a-- in your current projects. Remember your job is to kick a--. Of course it’s possible to get canned while kicking a-- but everyone will see your kicking a-- and that will help you get your next job. Don’t be one of those people that frantically runs around like a fool every time there’s a lay-off or silly acquisition. Don’t be that guy. You’ll look like a fool. Of course ok to have the cloak of anonymity in these forums.

The fact that there doesn't seem to be any (or very few) meetings to discuss the layoffs confirms that this is a stealth action. In fact it seems as though most employees are oblivious to the fact that there was even a layoff.

The elephant in the room is not the layoff itself... It is the fat that didn't get trimmed this time around.

There is considerable difficulty for RR to address the employees that survived because they could be next in the rolling layoffs or the next big one, like yesterday's layoff, which by the way was not reported.
