Once they walk you out, you'r not allowed to come back. you have to tell your co-worker/manager to get your stuff in your cube for you. I had somebody last year who was let go due to performance review and not allowed to take your belongings by yourself.

not true. During GM's bankruptcy, people were tapped on the shoulder and walked out immediately.
This is not true. I think you are pointing to an incident when someone was fired. Corporate lay-off is quite different. You are not required to leave office immediately.
I hope they see the picture of my family on my desk when they have to get my stuff.
