Some of you need help. I genuinely hope the majority of you are troll accounts and not genuine State Street employees that I may meet in the elevators, or SST is genuinely screwed.

No matter what level you are getting laid off is a terrible experience and a major blow to ones esteem and ego. No amount of severance eases the uncertainty and emotional pain layoffs cause a person and their families.
At some point, the money runs out and more often than not, the higher up you are, the harder it is to find the same paying work. Almost always these execs take lesser jobs at worse companies.
I was bitter for about an hour and then realized I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
No more work. No more sting near smelly, menopausal female coworkers or soy boys who wear nasty cologne.
No more working late.
No more worrying 24/7.
Got a fat severance, sold my house last year for double what I paid In anticipation of all this layoff stuff happening and I’m heading for the mountains. Gonna snowboard for the rest of the winter and find a rich girl to marry.
Good luck! It’s gonna be crazy at that insane asylum until 2020.
If I was an SVP or EVP, I'd be super bummed out to get the boot. They are hurting, too. Be nice. They will have to sell their ski homes in Aspen.
STT is a sh--ty company. So glad they are falling apart. And no, I am not bitter. More like amused and delighted to see them dissolve slowly.
you sound bitter.
Yeah we should not be bitter because losing your job, then most likely losing your home when you can't pay the mortgage and your severance money runs out, is not reason to be bitter.
Please f*ck off.
So STT plans to lay off a reported 8,500 by 2020, as stated in two articles; one in 2016 that says 7,000 to get the boot by 2020/end of 2019 and then another article two days ago that states another 1,500 hundred in addition to the 7,000 and you think people should not be bitter? What planet are you living on? STT increased the work for by over 30% in the last 5 years and now they realize they need to cut that.
Expect your layoffs numbers to be at least twice what they are reporting.
38% of workforce bwill get laid off by end of 2019 and I’d be bitter knowing they hired all those people for do nothing jobs only to have to fire them or others.
Bitter is an understatement, they really are messing up a lot of livelihoods.
Be glad if you already got laid off as it’s going to be a lot worse when thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of former STT employees are all looking for jobs in Boston and Quincy.
We’re talking over 10,000 people at the very least to be laid off by 2019.
Grow some balls, ffs....you should all be bitter.
This is why State Street will fail......
Couldn’t happen to more deserving people. The ones that are left should have been the first ones let go. Career slackers.
How can you not be bitter??? STT is ruining lives.
I’m genuinely bitter, lol. But hell, I got laid off so.
Nah, we’re genuine.
