Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

Severance package

I'm trying to prepare for the upcoming RIF in February. Can anyone remind me what Humanas severance package has been in the past? I have a feeling I'm going to be one of those laid off and want to prepare. tia.

Yes 2 weeks for every year worked wth a minimum of 4 weeks for everyone less than 2 years. You get your full PTO balance. You can leave your 401k with Humana. They also provided 1 month of job placement services they outsourced with Right Management to include resume writing You can accept employment elsewhere after you are released from your role. You may or may not be eligible for unemployment until after you have finished receiving your severance. Depends on your state. You will be paid severance weekly or biweekly depending on how you were paid in the past. It isn’t a lump sum. Oh course this is from someone that was laid off from Humana 16 months ago. Hopefully it is the same but if you are laid off you can ask those questions If you are laid off.

I believe that they were given 60 days notice, most were let go in less than 30. Two weeks severance for each full year worked and unused vacation. Not sure how much vacation can be cashed in.
