Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Lowe’s, NFL sign sponsorship deal as Super Bowl game in Atlanta prepares to kick off

So, the company that is going to give a billion dollars in military discounts this year, is going to sponsor a league that condones players kneeling for our national anthem. Make perfect sense regardless of your feelings towards either idea. Wow. True genius at work here.

Like I said, why pay good money for admission to a mine field.

Thank you for your service. Very sorry for your loss. (If anyone in your family served then so did you)

The honorable see clearly what those blinded by greed or vanity cannot.

2.it has nothing to do with military, that has been said over and over and over

The military fights to defend your freedoms, that also includes “minorities” that want to express their freedoms against police brutality.

  • so are you an NFL season ticket holder? I lost a family member that was deployed. I always stand for the national anthem to remember him.

I was called out for standing by some of those other fans “expressing their freedoms”. I bit my tongue and didn’t react. If I would have reacted and they escalated their threats. I could have been all over the news. No thanks, I simply cancelled my season tickets, Sunday ticket. And use Sunday’s to avoid paying the NFL.

If Lowe’s is going to lay people off to save millions and then give that money to the NFL. I won’t be shopping at Lowe’s and neither will my family.

Each FSA had a survey if there was a USA flag inside the store or on each property !

Psi (me) and Lp at my store both applied to other positions and we did not receive them, great support. I’m devastated, it’s my fault for getting too invested and too loyal to this company that I wanted to work in. Unfortunately it’s time to move on. I will miss my Lowe’s family. Sad how this has affected so many people.

Hey vet.

Saying it has nothing to do with the military is bogus. The protests have been by black players protesting the civil rights violations in their communities. Every black vet and active duty member should see that as a slight. It demeans their service by saying that they served a government that says they are not equal, when they are equal.

Also, the idea that the protesting players share anything much in common with those communities they claim to support is ridiculous. They are protesting the treatment of people who share only their skin color. The economic situations between them are as night to day.

Even if we disagree on all that, you need to admit to pay money to step into this mine field is not a good use of ad dollars. Why pay to then need to parse the differences of the meaning of the protests when the protesters have changed it twice is also a waste.

Layoffs, store closings, cut hours..... we can afford a new gym and juice bar at corporate and now this. hahahahaha Oh yeah in today's climate where many people are still up in arms concerning the NFL this is a brilliant idea. Dog fighters, d--ggies, women beaters....Lowe's should feel right at home. I'm posting it on every ultra conservative site i can find, let them add Lowe's to their list of companies to boycott lol.

  1. Not many players are kneeling anymore

2.it has nothing to do with military, that has been said over and over and over

  1. The military fights to defend your freedoms, that also includes “minorities” that want to express their freedoms against police brutality.

  2. I don’t agree 100% with the movement however I have 0 problems as long as thenowners of said teams allow it.

My prediction is Marvin likes football and we can expect to see him in a luxury box on game day at Lowe’s expense.

Let’s all take a knee, make the the sign of the cross, and say god bless!

In god we trust all others pay cash or use a Lowes credit card.

No surprise from managers who tell it like it aint. Complete id--ts. Lowes will be out of business before JC Penny. Marvin will be rich though.
