Night Crew not getting severance offer?

Was told possibly night crew wouldn't get severance offer because it's same job just change in hours. Anyone know if this is true? The clubs that changed already, did they get severance? If so shouldn't they have to offer it to everyone?

Our vendors are saying they heard no more night crew companywide by March.

IF you want to make sure you are offered severance just make sure when they give you availability sheets for the shift change that the only times you put as available is the Overnight shift. Because if you are available for the other shifts but simply refuse to take the job offer they don't have to offer you the severance since you are refusing a job offer. Not saying it will happen just that it CAN.

Night shift kept their differential if they accepted the day shift position. Anyone hired after the start date does not receive any additional compensation. The same was with the Christmas bonus that not everyone receives.

I doubt anyone is grandfathered in. No one was when they eliminated Sunday pay

Severance should have been offered. Although the position didn't get technically eliminated (still using same job code/job title), its considered a restructure or change in job requirements or something.

Anyone who stays in the position keeps the differential, but new associates will not get it.

Severance offered, kept differential. Now it is a "market differential" not overnight. Will not be available to new associates.

Not exactly the same, but when Walmart change O/N Fresh to a 1-10 shift it was a grade level increase so it made it seem they kept the differential.

They were grandfathered in according to my Gm. Any night shift that stayed and came to days got to keep the differential. Anyone hired after the switch would not. My night shift has been on it since the beginning of January.

Why would you keep the differential when it is an O/N differential? And now it's a day job?

Any job eliminated gets a severance package.
