Thread regarding Rent-A-Center Inc. layoffs

We need more, not fewer employees

I honestly don't understand how Rent-A-Center can even consider more layoffs - at least on the store level - when we are severely understaffed as it is. We are expected to do daily 12-hour shifts due to this, which means that if you work here you can forget about having life outside of work.

And then they want to cut more? Are they insane? I don't think we could function if we lose one more person.

That’s why I studied for what I do now while on the job there before I quit. After seeing them hire Aaron’s ex-employees to become managers over the well qualified people they’ve already had including myself, I said no more. I maintained a good rapport with the customers, started doing a very minimal job in the store, and faked telemarketing calls while I began studying knowing what my decision would be. Thanks RAC for paying me to study before the months of me quitting that cirus show!
