Micromanagement at “ it’s best”

Is anyone else feeling like they are in a circle where they are micromanaged to the maximum and they have no options to do anything about it, other than quit and end up without a job? My manager implements a vicious regime of micromanagement that seems to have his only purpose to serve itself. If you say something, you have a good chance to be written up and be the first in line to be fired. Also, good like taking anything up with HR, as they seem to be more of a service to that very same management. It’s an awful feeling and it’s really starting to affect my patients, not to mention my performance at work. Any advice? Similar experiences?

Think about the term "Human Resources."

We are just a resource, tools, free range slave who gets to chose a master.
