A lot of the competitors had layoffs at the end of last year so chances are that a majority of them will be applying at Walmart. That fact works heavily against the Walmart workers, as the management will use that fact to point out even more how replaceable we are, and if we aren't eager to give 110% at our underpaying lousy jobs, there is somebody who will.

I would rather relocate anywhere than return to Walmart. It has become a horrible place to work.
You do realize unemployment is the lowest it's been since 1969 right?? Walmart is far from "cluttered with job applications" the exact opposite is true. They will however continue to treat us like sh-- and expect 110% at all times. Walmart is too stupid too treat its employees like the asset they are.
