Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

A UNION FOR AIG

After working for AIG for 20+ years, now reading all these posts. I think employees should start thinking about getting a UNION together or in to help, with all these RIFs, and cut down on the number of good people getting let go and hurt.

I think they are already taking the jobs elsewhere overseas with all the RIF. So UNION I Feel is the answer.

Post ID: @XlNsH9W-1pfs I think you hit the nail on the head with those Assistants, secretary, or what ever you want to call them. I know for a fact that in the Boston office most of the useless secretary's are close with HR (Shirley) and they help them find other jobs or change the job code / title so they can have justitifactions for keeping them off the RIF, it is temp work for them during the time they can be brought back on.

I think they are nothing but over the hill useless unskilled woman that could not find another job if they tried. Maybe at the massage pallor like a couple do now. Even reading some of the other posts here. I can see that office is something else already, with Cinnamon or Ane mentioned and what they do with relationships there.

Unions aren’t the answer, they are the problem. What do you think the corporate crony behavior is if not solidarity? The only rational walkout is to take a job somewhere else.

AMEN i said that years ago. Employees should stage a walkout. Negative press would scare mgmt. Get the big blow up rat! Someone should write dol that none of the assistant jobs for the new execs were posted. Some just handed to employees whose jobs were not in jeopardy but knew people while others lost their jobs. Also why do some employees get advance notice to start looking and others escorted to door. MRG must be laughing. Everyone running to Starr.
