So how much did the Sr APs get screwed over by with those taking on 6 stores? Was your raise worth it?

You get to drive around and check to see if people are doing rwds right and beg the store manager to please make sure they lock up the power equipment before another 16,000 worth of John deer riding mowers get hauled off in the back of some tweekers Silverado at 3am with no visible camera coverage.
Next on the agenda is going over the open status and $200 report to the brain dead managers in a vain attempt to coherce them into actually caring about anything remotely LP related. As they stare off blankly while you repeat the basis points of the tool department you begin to think to yourself “is this really what I am doing with my life?”
Later that evening when you finally get home, you see your fat spouse and dumb kids asleep. The house is quiet. You are all alone. The fear creeps
in with the knowledge that your life is a meaningless void of misery.
You reach in your gun cabinet, pull out your handgun and place it in your mouth. With the pull of the trigger, you are finally free.
No wonder I was left go as a DM last year. I was over 55K.

You mentioned you were already making 50K a year. Was that a 40 hour store or 48 with OT?
You declined? Wow. Salaried position, laptop, P Card, multi store responsibilities with an immediate $6k per year raise and you declined? Maybe it didn’t fit your career goals or whatever, but hopefully some other LP in your market benefitted from you declining, because frankly, those positions were pre-selected with no interviews allowed for them. I know I would have taken one (but not at $50k because that was my pay anyway).
The senior AP spot is salaried. With all that gets tossed on their plate, I’m sure it could make for a very long week.
Was offered 50k from the 44k I was making. However it is 40 hrs versus 48 and you’d take in some serious mileage through the year (non taxable). That said, I declined haha.
I don’t know what they got but I can guarantee it’s not six times what they were making.
