Why are Nike whistleblowers congregating on this site?

A honest question? why here and not twitter, etc?

Interesting that the question is limited to why people take things anonymous online : The same thing happens at Nike. I have never seen a place where people flip from being initially exited+motivated+fearless+wanting-to-do-the-right-thing to skeptic+wait&see+watching-their-back+personal-gain-effort-work-only. You will meet one of two types and the second has at some point in time been burned or scared. There is no recipe for success at Nike as everything including peoples success is based on personal favoritism. Facts and deliverables dont matter. It is who you know. Here's a tip regarding who to look out for: The loudest plus most popular with the latest 'transformational' plan andwith connections upwards that skip at least one level. And I agree, HR is only there to be able to tell the outside world they care about their employees and they can feel safe. Ask the HR folks how they feel ...

Nike has a history of going people legally when they speak to the media. Some people who spoke to the Oregonian after the layoffs lost out on their retirement. Nike still haunts some of us even after leaving.

hr not only covers it up they participate in it. for ex, actively falsifying employment docs with bullies to push people out. smoking gun evidence shows its false but alone its not illegal. hr and bully work together to poison the well and pad documentation unknown to the employee to justify and make it difficult to prove discrimination. judging by previous posts its a formula and institutionalized.

Whistleblowers are retaliated against. Nike is no different and possibly worse than other places where bad behavior is covered up by HR. The person who reports suffers. Simple as that.

anonymity. social handles id people so dont want to lose jobs, violate an nda or damage reputations.

strength in numbers. difficult to gain traction with individual posts on social. this is an unfiltered depository that clearly illustrates where theres smoke theres fire.

surprised there isnt one post with running list of peoples initials who at nike people need to watch out for.
