What's your prediction as it relates to cuts in IT (in Van Dyke Office Center in Warren)

30% of global GMIT will be cut, we have around 8500 people in IT.
This is miserable, so many affected family's my prayers and thoughts to all of you tomorrow and coming weeks. I was gone in December, I understand. All of this massive job loss because the people at the top running the business can't get it right and follow the market. I ask , where is their accountability in this , they make excuses for cuts this deep.
VDOC - it all depends. How many people to they want to keep in Michigan close to the business. If I were in the business and most of the team supporting me was remote, I would not be happy. It’s fine for developers but an issue with analysts, PMs and other roles that interface with the business on a regular basis. So location may factor into this in some way.
300+ -- That would be approx 75 per floor in that 4 floor building.
And should probably include 30 managers or directors.
VDOC is a quarter mile south of Warren Tech Center. It is a leased building outside of the WTC. We have maybe 600+ employees . 15-20% will lead to 90-120 employees. I am guessing so don't take my words for it.
300+
Buckle up.
Sorry for the stupid question but is VDOC, same as Cadillac Bldg/MI innovation center?
From all the posts, sounds like IT is going to take a hit. The fact is, nobody has a f*cking clue what's going to happen. I'd like to know what's "safe". The anticipation is killing me.
The conference rooms have been booked Mon thru Thur... 1st floor. Check it out...
