Health care is not provided by your employer. Health Insurance is. They are not the same thing.

To :hek , they have no interest in solving problems , this count is going to hell in a hand basket faster and faster. I would like to hear what you guys think about our president ? Aside from the obvious things like calling him names.
Why does $10,000 of the price of my new car pay for your healthcare?
Every industrialized country in the world has single payer except for the US.
They all have better health care results at a lower per capita cost.

There are so many countries where there is no such problem. In UK, even foreigners on work visa are covered. It is not a pipe dream. A segment if society do want best healthcare privilege only to them and not to the undeserved in their eyes.
Everyone thinks if we move to single payer we will still have the same health care as it is now. That will not be the case. US. has the best in health care because of competition. Removing that and we will be like making healthcare like the Secretary of State.

It sounds like that makes sense.. however, why do a lot of Canadians come here for jobs and buy health insurance here? I ask this issue to my co-workers from Canada and they can't seem to give me a straight answer.
As much as I don’t disagree with you I’d rather take my chances with an employer than leave my healthcare in the hands of politicians. What government program have politicians proven to manage responsibly ?
It is a pretty easy solution... While the old saying "nothing is free" IS true, switching to a single payer/medicare for all solution makes it cheaper and transfers the expense from your employer, or your pocket, to your tax bill. People get hung up on higher taxes but if you are simply moving the bill from one area to another, and in doing so it reduces overhead for providers and as such becomes cheaper, this is a win/win situation.
Exactly. I was wonder what if... I had a real serious illness and was out of work for months .. would an employer keep me.. if you are a contractor you are really F'ed.
Unfortunately, I doubt that no one in our government will ever solve this problem.
