@Xt4ENpu-1ydr WOW... the fact that the employee to management ratio is currently only 1.6 is RIDICULOUS! That is by far way to many managers for any organization. Typical staffing ratios range from 4-to-1 for direct reports to a regional vice president or senior manager, to 20-to-1 in an administrative area throughout all industries. Sort of crazy that we have this many managers anywhere at Xerox.

By the end of this year, GIS/XBS will look nothing like it does now.

Just half? You got off lucky. Another core here.

Core company here. We got our email from the prez today. You could tell it was c/p from somewhere from Xerox. We're closing over half our locations and employees are going to "work remotely". It's been so strange watching this all unfold. I have a feeling more is to come.

I know they are hiring thousands of techs..

I don't know where OP got that info.

All techs going multi product trained and assigned territories

16 percent reduction in part skus

8k vendors going to 3k vendors

They still need to reduce management. 1.6 employee to manager ratio currently. This will soon be 1.8

Meetings will be held to detail the " reduction in real estate " and which cores and branches will be rolled into other cores or eliminated. Those locations roled into cores will be placed in virtual offices.... the remaining cores will be divided into regions. Those locations that are closing are being given a deadline of end of Feb. To "evacuate " their building. It has been made clear that this new wave of change will happen very quickly. No one is sure how this will play out. Very sad for those cores and presidents who have been given no clarity and no choice as to what's happening to their employees. Good luck to the remaining cores. All we can do is choose to do hold on or let go.

Many cores have multiple locations. 190 is what we have been told. But they have been hush hush on which sites they are.

Sorry folks - this is happening. The presence of the consultant vultures in the larger XBS cores is a precursor to the other shoe dropping. Basic finance functions like AP, AR, customer service, maybe even dispatch are going overseas. It'll save XRX a lot of money to outsource this work to foreigners. They don't care about the long term effects. It's all about jacking up the stock price for I-CON and his band of scumbags. Since they can't grow revenue, this is their only option. For current employees - be prepared as the severance package is c-ap. Take care of yourselves.

190 locations???????????? XBS only has 43 cores, so something literally doesn't add up here... Also XBS has been far more profitable than Xerox direct, so as a business decision it makes no sense what so ever..

Denitech is one of the companies within GISX/XBS.

It doesn't appear to me that anyone knows what is "really going on", especially with these new/old sold called "entities" called GIS, Denitech, XBS, etc. Same goes with Conduent/ACS which all seems like a complete mess of a train wreck. Is GIS and/or XBS the same "thing" as Denitech?

As bad as Billing is now in Guatemala there's no way India could be worse.

I hope.

Can someone translate? Was this a meeting that was held today? Or an estimate of what's being presented at the analyst day tomorrow?

I can confirm some of that. But some it isn't clear if they mean old Xerox i.e. Xerox and XBS.
