Thread regarding General Motors layoffs

Should I still worry?

We had cuts yesterday but nothing so far today. We haven't gotten an official word that we are done, though, as some have - if I understand correctly. Now I'm worried that despite today being a quiet day for us, more might be coming our way before the two weeks are up.

Anybody else in similar situation? Am I worried for nothing?

after you get the all clear you can relax. until the next one. and yes GM will be ramping down Motown in favor of Silicon Valley and the Middle Kingdom.

Yes, you should. Read GM's investor presentation. They see electrification as the future, and state clearly that China is GM's center for vehicle electrification. GM's future in the U.S. is silicon valley. Detroit is being rapidly de-emphasized.
