Did you need the booze to get through the meetings?
Us managers we had meetings that usually started around 7am and lasted till 8pm or so ... Open bar began at 6pm and lasted a few hours... Still partied with our own booze till 3am and head to meetings around 7am ....
It is the full timers that are not management who are the hardest workers in Lowe's and especially many of the sales specialists. Appliances are the highest earning products in the stores so if he cuts appliances then he is guaranteeing additional failure and store closings. Dumb move but I wouldn't put it past the so-called leadership that only follows.

We are going to start selling Kenmore appliances Lumber will be converted into an auto repair center. Kitchen cabinets will be converted into a hair salon for the ladies.The drop zone by customer service will be converted into a candy stand. Training room will be converted into a photography studio.

Marvin announced today in Vegas that Lowe's will stop selling a31ppliances by the end of the month just like JC Pennys, He said Home Depot was the Number 1 home improvement in 2000 and Home Depot didnt sell appliances in all their stores until 2001!

Apperently we are going from good to great. We’ve had speakers from sears, Kmart, circuit city, radio shack, and borders books. Marvin tried to get others but they are mostly homeless former CEOs.
