I didn’t use to be like that. When you worked hard, produced good results and wanted to go that extra mile for the company you had nothing to worry about. Now the leadership wants us always to be in a state of constant fear. Some associates get laid off and then they force us to do the same amount of work with fewer people. At the same time, we have that picture of people getting cut and that makes us believe we are lucky to have a job at all, so we work outside our human possibilities out of fear. When you can’t take it anymore don’t hesitate to replace you with someone else who will do the same unrealistic quantities of work out of fear. That circle seems to go on endlessly. It has become disgusting.

There has been talk about eliminating the part time associates in business office.
Business office associates??? That's what we called our accounting associates. They have been long gone
Anyone hear anything about the business office associates going away ?
This is true 2/5/2019 @ 3:00 p.m.. PTC's were informed positions have been eliminated, they have till March 29 to secure a position or leave the company. Sad day at Sam's club. Most PTC's are the heart of the club's.
I do not understand how anyone stays anymore. I know there are certain situations, but that's getting harder to convince me. If you're older and think you can't start over, then would you rather be forced to start over even more years down the road? Because it'll happen again. If you're in a small town and there aren't a lot of jobs, then start looking now. Yes pay and benefits might not be as great but you will get there. Do it sooner than later. So many excuses and not enough trying. The company is going down hill. Not sure what else needs to be done for people to see that.
So very true. And if you voice your opinion opposing the impossible, you get an ultimatum. So sad. Never again.
