At least he mocked the “Love Where You Live” b/s(and the train wreck known as “Sterling”). A year before that it was “Simple and Seamless”(that our id--t Market Service Mgr. still says). Remember LEF? What a joke! And before that it was “WOW” customer service. Lowe’s was run by Mr. Putz and his minions—right off a cliff!
Yep. When he says God Bless he means God Bless me.
Marvin knows only one God...money. There is no element of God in his intentions
In pursuit of excellence. Maybe Marvin could read that book. Internal and external customers, stick to your knitting, give excellence and you’ll get excellence. Nah, he knows everything already, it’s just that greed is his motivation.
Levitt concludes that books like this are "mostly backward-looking" and can't offer a guide for the future.
True!!!!
Good to Great was the title of a corporate strategy book written in 2001! Looks like Lowe's has plagerized the theme of the Manager'e meeting. What's even worse is that some of the companies featured were Circuit City and Wells Fargo.
Typical Lowe's: never an original thought and 20 years behind the curve.
