It appears that the way they did the layoffs, you cannot really single out age, race etc, but i think tactically they got rid of a lot of older folks (except those old cunning directors/executives). They did get rid of a whole bunches of senior folks (45/50+) who work as Program/Project Manager, Sr Dev, QA etc in a higher rate than the younger folks. I think lot of you may say these older folks don't have the right skill sets etc, but apparently they are victim of age based discrimination!

I know for a fact the most exceptional and productive person on my team was cut. No one even came close to his productivity. He does have gray hair, though.
Someone left on my team is 64.8 years old. My org was definitely cut based on how managers ranked their teams not age.
no sh-- they're they highest paid, least productive, and likely most pensioned (see expensive)
LOL @ "those old cunning directors/executives"....soooo true!!
got axed to turn in badge and computer
What did they axe them?
They even got rid of NCH from what I heard. The last layoffs had listings of the ages and genders of those terminated, and gave that to each employee as they were laid off so you couldn't prove discrimination
When the axe falls it doesn’t see race s-x age etc as gm has to follow rules... it’s based on your need to the business... right now there is no need for services hence the cut.... simple business
Freep has an article today that seems to be showing the age range and level of those being cut, check it out.
Yeah, 45-50 is old....if you're 10.
75% of a group who sat next to me was wiped out. All under 35. All working on important projects
My group 4 young people( 30 and under) and 1 guy who was late 50’s.
I think young people were axed more than anything.
