NO CONFINDENCE Vote on GM Sr Leadership

I vote NO CONFIDENCE in GM Senior Leadership Starting With M Barra (Who as a former VP of HR should know better). How could any competent leader have as many new hires as GM in the last 5 years ... and then implement such draconian cuts (including many very talented new hires). MB and Executive leadership should be ashamed of themselves for swinging an axe indiscriminately to fix the Human Resources problem they created. M Barra should resign in disgrace for presiding over the ramp up and inhumanely executed cuts. Hopefully the BOD will also ask themselves if they have confidence in the ineptitude at the highest decision making levels of the company.

Normally, you would have confidence is your senior management ... you would normally have confidence that they have the proper education and experience to run and manage a company. Barra and Mott have just shot themselves in the foot ... they will realize it very soon!! This is a clear case of bad judgement or incompetence. They will send out b---s--- emails and video messages to tell everyone how they appreciate everyone's work - One Team-Be Bold-Innovate Now-etc. Its all a big ruse and clever brainwashing ploy. Tell me how Barra and Mott are exemplifying "One Team". They are out for themselves ... the sooner people understand that .. the sooner people will realize that they are not here to help you , they are here to EXPLOIT you.

If it's true that 40% of IT was NCHs, totally inexperienced, that explains a lot.

And says GM hiring is totally broken.

IT had more than 40% of new college hires as employees. That is a huge number that can be used as collateral damage.

Trust me, a critical, critical lack of understanding of technology there.

I think the point is that it is stupid to hire thousands of new employees and then turn around and fire many of those same employees who were just hired. The strategies to focus only on cost and target low cost, low margin businesses (e.g. autonomous and ride hailing whose consumers place no value on the quality, styling, design or features of vehicle they are driving or riding in as their means to get from point A to point B in the cheapest way possible) also bring into question the competence of Sr Leadership.

Dude, you're ignorant of how this works. That can't fire the old, well paid people alone, they have to, by law, add in some young-ins to offset them, otherwise they'll lose lawsuits. Like Ford did 10 years ago. There are people here that won against Ford, but they didn't sign the paperwork when they were let go, that allowed them to class action ford.
