From my understanding claims domain applications are next. There is a heavy ramp up of OGS in the claims domain. We are training our replacements.

I worked in the I.T. Division at a very high technical level for many years and can verify the off shore employees we had to train and support are a huge hinderence. They talk over you instead of listening and are extremely slow to learn. It is much easier to perform the work of two people than to be forced to drag an off shore employee through the process which they dont learn by anyway.
Do the claims domain applications fall under Optum Tech or Optum Operations?
Based on what I've seen and heard, anything that can be offshored or outsourced will be over the next 18 - 24 months. Why pay for one person in the USA when you can get 2 or 3 or more for your money elsewhere? It won't last, it rarely works, and it's only a matter of how many USA employee lives get destroyed before that light bulb goes on over some dimwit bureaucrat's head.
I’ve heard that telecommuters and smaller offices (<500) are targeted first. Does this mean than non-growth and satellite sites are in danger of closing down??
