Not sure what the official position of GM on visiting this site is. There seems to be a lot of people who are doing it nowadays. Granted, I am doing this on my personal phone but sometimes I connect to GM-provided wifi and not sure if this is kosher. I have no problem disconnecting or turning wifi off but sometimes I forget.

Sure go ahead! After all you can trust GM to act in your best interest. While you add it, why don't you let the bum standing on the corner as you came in today hold your wallet.
Don't use gm wifi for something that could be used against you. They can and do track all your web history and every keystroke.
Use your own cell phone... now you know the talent they are letting go based on these types of dumb questions

Hell no, even with https the address is still there just tye content is encrypted. Use mobile or VPN
I connect to GM wifi but use a VPN.
You think IT is going to care after the week they had?
If you don't have intune on your phone, it's fine to use GM wifi.
I think you’re being paranoid. With the chaos involved at this time... I’m sure they have bigger fish to fry.
Never connect to GM wifi on personal phone.
